What is it? As part of our annual conference, OHALAH offers a Shuk (bazaar) selling religious and spiritual books, music, arts and crafts. This is a wonderful time and place to socialize, share your artwork, your writings, teachings and other creations. Attendance at the Shuk is free and open to the public.
When and Where Is it? The Shuk will take place from Sunday, January 8th through Wednesday, January 11th at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel in Lakewood, CO.
What can I sell?
We welcome arts, crafts, books, and other creative work. Vendors have had particular success with tallit, kippot, jewelry, ceramics, glassware, books, and two-dimensional artwork (prints and paintings), among other items. Experience has shown that items priced at or below $100 sell well, and suggest $400 - $500 as an upper range (although this is up to you).
Who can participate? Anyone who will be attending the conference or lives in the area can register for a table to sell and display their wares. You don't have to be a member of OHALAH to have a table.
How may I participate?
All participants are responsible for setting up and taking down their own table and wares. The tables provided are 6’ long. Participants are welcome and encouraged to staff their own tables personally as available; however, Shuk staff can handle sales transactions in your absence. In this case, all items must have a label/tag with participant name/initials and the price of the item.
