Date & Time of Workshop: Tues. Jan. 10, 2023 7:30-8:45pm (mountain)
A transformative ritual and panel. The current world situation calls for our renewed commitment to Tikkun Olam. We will open with a deepening practice, and allow ourselves to feel the emotions that arise in response to the troubled times we are living in. Panelists will address the questions “What is the role of Renewal in Tikkun Olam? What is our particular contribution?.” In ritual space, we will rededicate ourselves to our own pieces of this work.
Facilitated by Rabbi Jeremy Sher and Rabbi Fern Feldman. Panelists include Rabbi Arthur Waskow, Rabbi Tirzah Firestone, Rabbi Deb Kolodny, and Rabbi David Seidenberg
Rabbi Fern Feldman teaches in a variety of venues, including the Aleph Ordination Program, as well being a spiritual director, ritual maker, and nurse practitioner working in harm reduction. Fern's interests include exploring the sacred dark in Jewish tradition, non-dual approaches to gender in Kabbalah, and social and environmental justice.
Rabbi Jeremy Sher is Staff Chaplain at UCSF Health, a major hospital system in San Francisco. He also is rabbi for Open Shabbat, part of the San Francisco Night Ministry. Also senior political, entrepreneurial and fiduciary experience, including project management, prior to the rabbinate.
