The ongoing brutal Russian war against Ukraine and its people forces us to grapple with our genetic memory, a history characterized by anti-Semitism. In the Midbar we coalesced around Torah and peoplehood. These core values were tested then, and they are tested now. Can we reach out to help the victims hoping this marks a new beginning together, or will that Jew Hatred return once the crisis subsides? How do we answer the call?
Rabbi David manages the Jewish Relationships Initiative, a 501c3, helping seekers of meaning through Jewish wisdom, particularly in relationships and end-of-life challenges.
