Embracing Pleasure in Times of Loss and Grief
Rabbi Dan Goldblatt and Zoë Francesca Goldblatt

Date & Time of Workshop: Wed. Jan. 11, 2023 10:45am-12:00pm MT

Rather than hardening and contracting in the midbar, Shechinah guides us to open, to allow one’s heart to soften, to surrender, to release. PLEASURE is one way to do this, a tool for empowering open-heartedness. We live in a culture that diminishes the power of pleasure and often considers it inappropriate or irrelevant during sacred transitions. We will explore a radical approach to accessing pleasure in a time when we are challenged to innovate new tools as we live, encounter short and long-term illness, and find more life-affirming ways to respond to loss and grief.

Rabbi Dan Goldblatt is an ALEPH Musmach and has served as rabbi of Beth Chaim Congregation, Danville, CA for three decades.  He has served on the Boards of OHALAH and ALEPH and is a Past President of OHALAH. He is the co-founder of the AriYael Jewish Healing Center.

Zoë Francesca Goldblatt is an intuitive, arts-based Activity Therapist and End of Life Doula with a focus on spiritual and soul connection. She has also completed relationship, sex, and intimacy coaching training through the Somatica Institute. Zoe is a partner in the AriYael Jewish Healing Center.
